Many seek and do not find. Yet, the Lord says, "seek, and you shall find." The difference lies within the intention, within heart. Do you wait around in life expecting things to happen, expecting things to come to you? Or, do you take action and CREATE yourself. Yes, we are to TRUST in the Lord and SURRENDER. However, God does expect us to do our part.
Do you search for meaning and what your purpose in life is? What is in your spiritual toolkit? We all have talents, gifts, and/or inclinations towards something in life. Charism is a Greek term used for a gift or ability, given by the Holy Spirit in order to be shared generously. Charism discernment is a process of discovering and discerning God's movement in your life.
To know the gifts you possess is not the only piece in the puzzle. Bigger, is to make sense of why your life is the way it is because of those gifts, and to recognize the flow of God's movement through those gifts to share with others. That is PURPOSE.
We are to live with this purpose 24/7. Is God present in your whole life? Everyday and all day we are to live as Jesus did. We are called to live and speak of the TRUTH regardless of the result. Even when the truth may not be accepted, or even when we may be rejected...LOVE others through living the TRUTH.
It is times that we are weak, we are found strong. When we detour off the wrong path, it is God that is willing to redirect us. It is in that detour that we find our strength through God, and gain wisdom. And it is in the SILENCE that we can TRUST God that we are on the right path.
