"Lent" A Season to Rebuild YOUR Temple: Full Body Strengthen!

During this Lent season we are called to rediscover our bodies, our Temples to which God resides. We are encouraged through the observance of the three pillars of Lent: prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. We can surrender our burdens and all thought forms to God through the power of PRAYER; conversation with Him. We can practice our discipline of FASTING in many forms such as abstaining from a particular food, habitual act, or the use of something we hold great value to. We can GIVE to others in such a way that we are creating an effort to share our world equally; time, labor, material, talents, and/or financially.
Jesus himself, is our purest model of a Temple of God. Jesus was and always will be, God-man. He came and lived amongst His humanity in Spirit, Mind, and BODY. Through His crucifixion, He experienced pain, suffering, abandonment, and NEW LIFE. We too are all called to a new life! In mind, body, and spirit we have new opportunities every minute and every day. "If you don't take care of your body, how can you expect your body to take care of you?" (Marie T. Freeman)
Good intentions are not enough! Until you create physical activity as a priority in your life, your good intentions will continue to rebirth old habits. God has entrusted humanity to take care of our bodies; our bodily temples for His dwelling. And our health is a gift from God to which He expects us to do our part. Do YOU sincerely desire to improve your physical body and take personal responsibility for your choices? I challenge you to re-evaluate your heart, thought forms, actions, and habits. Take this time to Speak with God, Let Go and Let God, and Be Charitable.
Be charitable with yourself, honor and take care of your body, and share an exercise activity with a friend!

Below you will find a few exercises that are great for your Whole Body. Align your Spirit, Mind, and Body for your ultimate Temple of God!

"Create Your Tree of Life!" CORE

Create and Strengthen Your Foundation!

Where do you turn to for your source of strength? What do you identify as your foundation?
Is it the gym? Is it a person? Or is in supplements?
God is my never-ending source of strength and my rock; all else is sinking sand...
God is our source, and God desires our participation to build our foundation and strengthen our very being.

Life is a balancing act. And, it is through our participation with God's Will that we will establish our balance: spirit, mind, and body.

Spirit and Mind...when we are completely present and speak from our heart, His Spirit aligns with ours. Our foundation is His. Instead of moving away, we must move forward; allowing His strength and love to be our only supplement.

Body..."If you are not determined to be the master of your body...then you might just become a slave to your impulses." (Food, Fitness, and Faith for Women) How do you treat your body? Do you respect and honor your body? Are you an educated consumer?

Our bodies are made up of many internal systems.  Our GI system alone has more than 100 million neurons that are present and communicate to us when we make bad choices with our nutrition. "Food ought to be a refreshment to the body, and not a burden." (St. Bonaventure) We are to create a devotion and honor our bodies with what we choose to put in it. Make your conscious choice now to stop sabotaging your body internally!

Our bodies also require strengthening for our flesh. Our adult body frame consist of more than 206 bones and 600 muscles. Through physical activity, sports, functional training, and/or a structured exercise program   we can create our optimum quality of life. There are simply no shortcuts to a healthy lifestyle. Choosing God as our partner, together we can have clarity and create a future in our highest choices!

Do you have your clarity for defining and/or strengthening your foundation: Spirit, mind, and body???

CORE
Strengthening the core of our body, the whole abdominal cavity and whole back, is vital in obtaining physical balance. Below you will find a few  exercises for strengthening, stabilizing, and flexibility.

Live Abundantly: Back & Chest

Take action! How many times do you find yourself in reflection experiencing doubt, fear, and/or regret about something you did not do or something you did do??? When we choose to live a conscious life of balance in "Spirit and Body", we can punch fear in the face and start doing!

Our God does not have power; He is the powerful One. He is able, all-powerful, and all-powerful all the time. Thus being said, through the Holy Spirit dwelling within us all, we too have such opportunity to be powerful and live abundantly.

Yes, the Holy Spirit dwells within us. We are "Spirit" with "Body." And, it is in our own delayed response and lack-of immediate action that our "Holy Spirit"-inspired actions remain undone.

In Scripture, the Holy Spirit is described to be an energy of "turbo" power, an engine-like power that lives and operates inside us all.  And, it is with this turbo-charge energy that we have such power and choice to take action towards living our abundant lives...as "Spirit" and "Body."

Start creating your abundant-body now through fitness: sports and physical activity!

In fitness, our bodies balance is achieved through: flexibility and strengthening evenly. It is when our muscles are over and/or under-developed that our bodies are not in alignment, thus leading to injuries and dis-ease.

In the chart provided, and below you will find a few examples for strengthening your back and chest:

Standard Push-Up
Wide Fly Push-Up
Decline Push-Up
Diamond Push-Up
Closed Grip Overhand Pull-Up
Wide Front Pull-Up
Reverse Grip Chin-Up
Dive Bombers
Back Fly
Lawnmowers

Knowing where you are strong and flexible tells you not only what exercises your bodies require in your quest for physical health but also where it is most necessary to work to foster personal development. (James Gavin) What will you choose to manifest, bring to life, and/or re-align???

~Much Love, Light, and Good Health!
