Monday Motivation: "Life Process"

The work we do on ourselves should not be taken in as a goal, but a lifetime process.
Enjoy the process, ask for guidance, and FOLLOW.

Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia can be such a crippling disease,
It can knock you down to your knees.
Yesterday was a day of my worst,
It was as though I had been cursed.
I was put into a sleep-like coma for 13 hours,
My pain so bad it surpassed previous towers.
The disease is so unpredictable...
One day your good,
Another day you just want to hide under your hood.
I'm on a new mission for doctors,
At times I feel like I am put in the position of my old school proctor's.
The disease needs to become more known,
For not one person suffers as a clone.
Educate yourself and share with others,
For this disease is among our brothers.

SHOUT it loud, for our pain is NOT silent!
PEACE~

Joy for Monday

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

Just as a butterfly has a new beginning transformed from a caterpillar; we all can start over and have a new beginning to receive peace and joy.

Whether it's by minutes, hours, or days...it is a wonderful thing to know that we can always start over. God is always present with OPEN arms.

"The Whatever"

"Behold, God is my salvation;
I will trust, and will not be afraid"
(Isaiah 12:2)

So, I am reading a book on St. Paul and I come across some really great information that I want to share...

When we surrender to God's will, we may not realize that we also do so with limitation.
For St. Paul of the Cross, he defines the surrender as an abandonment. To be strong and persevere with the grace of God; one can achieve such abandonment without considering whether it would result in pleasure or pain.

In life we experience joy and sorrow, pleasure and pain all to which equals a necessity in life.
God  knows our weakness and our strength. Paul, urges us to ask for help and to expect it.

For sure, it is hard to accept the painful things in life. Especially the pain we do not understand.
Throughout Paul's spiritual direction to others, he ask that we abandon ourselves to God's will and trust him for the "whatever."

He also states, God arranges all things for our greater good and he also knows how to give us consolation when we least expect it.

So, as troubling as it may seem to experience the mixture of pleasure and pain in life we must do our best to abandon ourselves to "whatever" is in God's will for us. Even if we do not understand the meaning...

I pray that we all challenge ourselves to do so. ~Amen

Strong Enough!

"I can do all things, through Christ who gives me strength." (Phil 4:13)

YES LORD! I heard this song today in my car, on my way home. It was just what I needed to hear. After-all, those words are a permanent reminder to me...

Some may think that scripture is not true to it's word but, I say "Yes!"
When we think of "all things," it is that to which God knows we can handle. Just like in this song, God knows our strength and He is also there at all times to give us more.

One day at a time, I CAN do this.
We all need daily maintenance.
I only have to try.
Let go, Let God.

With God I will triumph this battle of health, just like my many trials in Life. I have had many trials in life. But, I have also had many tribulations!

Thanks be to God!
Much Love!

Take The Wheel

There are times in life when we may feel that we do not have the strength to press forward...in those times, we must SURRENDER.

Today, I got a confirmation of my pain increase due to a Fibromyalgia flare up. It was a disappointment how quickly the doctor added more medicine to my regimen, and not a mention of more test be run. I expressed my concern and that resulted in blood work, order for X-rays, and a referral to see a neurologist.

Then, I got to thinking about my current medicines. My husband and sister had previously mentioned to look into the side effects of my prescriptions. It makes me wonder??? Are some of my more serious symptoms actually induced by my current medications?

Jesus take the wheel! Take it from my hands, because I cannot do this on my own. I'm letting go......
Lord God, I know that you are all powerful & full of love. Help me to take my pain & suffering, surrender it, and accept it as a love-gift from you. Strengthen me and use me as you will.
~Amen!

Autoimmune Workout

Can't wear shoes, joints are in pain, but I CAN use the floor to strengthen & support.

200 Rep Strengthening

In pain or not, I remind myself that to build or/and tone muscle will benefit me in the long run. It will increase my metabolism and be therapeutic for my chronic pain. So, below you will find a pretty easy workout that you can do while watching T.V., or however you may like. The floor will give you great back support, but just in-case you can roll up a small towel to place under the lumbar part of your back.

Bless this little life of mine.
In the wonder of each day,
Let me live a holy way.

To live a holy way shall be the benchmark of our daily lives.

Give me Grace- Fr "Love"

Friday keep the ones I love.
Comfort them from up above.
Lift their heats and hold them dear.
Help them know that you are here.

The other day I was listening to a podcast on marriage and faith. It gave me a different perspective on my spouse's walk in faith. It also gave me more hope.

Sometimes we tend to loose sight of the big picture. God made men very different from women. What is an expression of faith to female is not usually equal to men. Our perceptions, thought process, emotions, and the way we receive are all very different then men.

God knows what he is doing. So, let us all turn our focus on "Love" and pray for our spouse's. For when in doubt, go to God for wisdom.

Give Me Grace- Th

Open Up My Eyes
Thursday open up my eyes to your angels in the skies.
Let me know their wings are near me,
and that they will always hear me...
(Cynthia Rylant)

God calls us to be like children. To love others unconditionally, and to trust him (Jesus) as our Father. This picture and prayer reinforces me to trust in all things. Sometimes He is talking, loving, and/or giving to us and we miss that very blessing. We need to OPEN our eyes, BELIEVE, and TRUST. Seek, Speak, and Listen; knowing that he is always there. Much Love!!!

Give Me Grace- W

Wednesday make me full of light.
Guide my heart both day & night.
Give me gladness, give me grace.
Shine your love upon my face.
(Cynthia Rylant)

This one is definitively my favorite of the prayers for meditation!
What more could you ask for?
May God's light always enlighten you along your walk in life in all that you do.
LOVE, LAUGH, BE THANKFUL, & PRAY...

Give Me Grace- T

Tuesday teach me faith & Caring.
Teach me wisdom.
Teach me sharing.
Raise me up and make me strong.
Be with me all day long.
(Cynthia Rylant)

There is a saying, "be careful what you pray for." Sometimes we ask for certain characteristics, and in order to achieve such we have to trial it first.

Have a terrific Tuesday! May you be contemplative in all that you experience.

Give Me Grace

Monday make me good and kind to all the creatures that I find.
Help me love God's whole creation. Make my life a celebration. (Cynthia Rylant)

This comes from a book of poems/ prayers for children inspired by Max Lucado. I enjoy reading them to my daughters. So, I hope to share them with you all the days of the week.

To make our life a celebration... I have always thought it would be really great to wake up and make a list of things I am thankful for. Many times do I find myself coming up with good ideas, however, I struggle with implementing them.

Sometimes me sharing with you all is a self reminder in what my blessings are. So, thanks to my readers.

May you all find the beauty in God's creation, give thanks, & celebrate!

Hidden Motivation Made Possible

Today is Friday which is a good thing, right??? But, getting back into routine this week has left me exhausted! I struggled this morning fighting my sleepiness, and knowing that I have training to do for my 1/2 marathon...

Well...what I thought would be the impossible became the possible. Thank God for the hidden motivation!

When we open our hearts and mind to receive, the blessings come. Sometimes in disguise, and sometimes straight forward.

So, let me share with you all the blessings received today in disguise which led me to accomplish my impossible...my training.

"You Are" By Jason Castro (God Was & God Is)

"You Are..." the One!

Hope you Enjoy! This is a reminder how God is Everything! Open your heart & mind...Listen.

"Run Stronger for Longer"

Workout Wednesday
Time to run! Me personally, I love running outside and especially through trails. However, timing and/or weather is not always on our side. I usually dread the treadmill but, I found something I enjoyed.
As I continue to train for my 1/2 marathon in February, miles are added for the stamina, and speed work for strengthening. So if you dread treadmill's  like me, try this and I am sure you will ENJOY!

STAMINA (treadmill)

- Warm Up: 1 mile
- Cruise Intervals (CI): to promote stamina, run approximately at a 10k pace. 800 CI, approx. (4:45min x 2)
- Speed Intervals (SI): for a quick turn-over, run at a 5k pace. 200 SI, approx. (54 sec x 6)
- Close: 1 mile

New Year Affirmations

"I Open New Doors to Life." (Louise L. Hay)
Happy New Year!
Every New Year, one tends to set new resolutions, goals, and dreams. It is a time of Spiritual growth and positive change.
What door do we open? Where and/or who holds the key?

There are doors to be open but, also doors to be shut. When one seeks the good, one must think & believe they deserve only the good. In doing so, we need to release those and/or things that limit us from such good.  That release can sometimes lead to closing doors.
God is always at our side and his love is unconditional. When we open ourselves to His direction, embrace & accept all parts of ourselves, we are healed. To every door that closes, a new one opens. We must choose to focus on the good in life and let go of hunting down all the negative. If we entrap our thoughts in the negative we loose light. Freedom is a powerful force; and God is our light.

"See It, Feel It, Trust It."
