"God Loves You Just the Way You Are"
We as humans spend many hours focused on our bodies. Whether we have a concern for our health, or maybe the desire to loose weight; we always have a quick answer when someone asks how we are feeling/doing. But, when someone ask how our spirit is doing we cannot seem to come up with an answer quick enough. Through this season of Lent, it is this time for us to surrender our spirit's to God for Jesus to speak to us and to grow closer in relationship with him.
We are all God's work of art. He outpours his love to us for free and unconditionally.Through our faith, God gives us a free gift of his grace and salvation. Within the Old Testament you can find examples of God taking the initiative, going forth and sharing his love. Within the New Testament Jesus loved with the love of his father. Jesus loved the unjust and just.
Christ loved those who humbled themselves enough to allow him to come to them to clean and heal them. They chose to accept the love of Christ given to all for free. Through the Trinity, Grace falls freely.
In our human nature we tend to seek immediate gratification. And, as a famous marketing tool there is nothing like a good sale. Put the two together and we are easily drawn-in closer to materialism. So, here is Jesus Christ that offers his unconditional love for FREE and who runs to open their hearts to receive??? All that is material and of this world comes with a condition but yet, Christ's love is unconditional.
With all this being said you may find yourself in one of the following three categories:
a. use the fall of human nature as your cop-out
we all have difficulties, make mistakes, make judgments through our clouded filter...
Guess What? God loves us just the way we are.
b. think you have out-sinned the Grace offered
have a wounded pride, gravitate towards darkness & away from light...
Guess What? God's love radiates, anoints, and cleans.
c. seek compromise
loose momentum, seek control, paralyzed by fear...
Guess What? God awaits, longs for us, and no control is needed for love given freely.
May you all be inspired to "let go & let God."
(Return, Renew, Restore, & Rejoice!)
