"No more bulldozing for an end product!"

Thanks to sister-in-law for forwarding me a blog post on patience by Maria Mooney. I share another song with you in hopes of more inspiration and clarity. The lyrics and chosen design of this video are perfect!

Recently, I went to the neurologist to get some results for a lot of burning questions about my health.
The news brings another journey of obstacles to face. My health so unpredictable, I have had some recent joys and challenges. I heard this song the other day as I was driving listening to my favorite radio station, KSBJ 89.3. God spoke to me in so many ways...

"Life is a dance"

Hey readers, this song popped in my head and I knew I had to share it. I have not listened to country music in more than 15 years, so I knew it had to have meaning. Sure does! One reader to a few, I had made a commitment to myself that I would blog every Monday and Wednesday and as life goes..."you learn as you go." There are times in life where you sink or swim, lead or follow, learn or teach and now is a time for me to try even harder at surrendering to God's will. With my health and life's twist and turns I let go to to 'obsolete' commitment. I blog to share my wisdom and experience with others with pleasure. That is what I want it to remain as; not as a 'have to...'  So, it is with my pleasure that I will continue to share as much as I can, but in God's timing and not my own.
Hope you enjoy the lyrics of the song. May you find peace and be inspired!
Much Love!

"Blessed, Beautiful, & Balance"

Hey guys! I began my own challenge this past Saturday...several challenges with messages came my way as a reminder. So, I began this 8 week fitness challenge from the outside. I can do it all myself but, I thought perhaps a push and being surrounded my other challengers might help.
I got excited, but as my norm with my disease and I believe many out there, the excitement waivers. I find myself stuck in this limbo between whatever "norm" is suppose to be and what my body can actually do to remain healthy. I am so use to myself always on the go and having the superwoman mentality...
Now that my disease has hit me hard, I find myself with the thought process of "I can do all without limitations" which leads into a repeating cycle of deconditioning. It becomes my cycle of chronic pain/fatigue, frustration, failure, high, motivation, etc. and back around again. The crazy thing is if a proper exercise is done on a regular basis, the cycle can be broken. So, I gotta do what I want to do but...oh, wait with BALANCE and not over doing it.
What is that to a wife, mom, passionist, endurance athlete, sister, daughter??? Oh and wait, each person with Fibro/CFS/CPS has to find their individual remedy to keep flare-up's at bay... So, there is the 20 minute rule of thumb for intervals...the thing is my 20 minute intervals I think might need to be applied to my life wholistically speaking. So, this is my struggle...stay active, balance, self-control, and surrender. "I am a work in progress!"
So, let me share my positive message and hope from this past Saturday. For me it was a reminder of God's presence at all times, and His love for me...

Love for Everyone

"Let Me be a Light"...

So sorry my post fell behind,
I hit a few bumps of a different kind.
I share this song,
May it be with you always all day long.
No matter how many bumps I hit,
I know the Lord has my light lit.
You see I have this blog,
It helps get through my Fibro fog.
But even better,
It is like a love letter.
Just as the song says unto the Lord...
"I want to love everyone,
It's yours to give let the people come!"

Thanks for coming to visit.
Don't ever give up,
The Lord is always willing to fill your cup!
"Let go, & Let GOD!"

A Moment for Motivation on a Monday...

Take a Moment for Prayer Please
(Our Father & Hail Mary)

"Good morning everyone, and welcome!" May you have a blessed and joyful Monday.
I am a very visual person, and you will find that on all my post I have a picture. For those of you who follow me, you may recognize this picture. I could not help but use it again for today's message, and look what is above the sign STOP. It says chant-song and through song is how I am going to begin...
In the beginning of the season of Lent I attended mass on Ash Wednesday, and the priest delivered relevant message that I connected to.

It was about signs in our environment. The song "Signs" is by a Canadian rock group called Five Man Electrical Band. The song was released during an era of political and social change. It was a time of intolerance and exclusion. Within the song you will find an expression of frustration for a series of signs encountered displaying discrimination. In the final verse of the song, the hippie shares an experience at church after encountering a sign which read, "Everyone Welcome." Once inside the church he mentions the time of the offering, to which he realized he had no money. So, instead he wrote a note to God and gives thanks.

"You Raise Me Up!"

Since this season of Lent began, my body has been free from my flare-up's...it has been miraculous!
So, I turned to the completion of a necessary root canal and was troubled by an infection; that to which I tried to avoid from the very beginning. Given antibiotics and scheduled to return healed, I am hit with another infection in my mouth. My immune system weakened, taking many medications, the antibiotic gave me the hit.
The hit brings me great pain, again, but not to burden me..."The Lord raises me up to more than I can be!"

"Triple Threat Walk"

(30 Minute Walk + 3 Strength Training Exercises)

This type of training is tough! You need to push yourself to see gain. "Cardio strength training" is extremely effective and will bring results, as long as you put in the hard work. As the duration of the interval progresses it will get difficult, however, I strongly encourage you to not give up! Remember to breath. The human body is resilient and learns to adapt and respond to overload.

- 10 minutes of controlled speed walking
- Drop and do 30 counts of mountain climbers
-10 minutes of controlled speed walking
- Drop and do 30 counts of crab crunch-toe-touch
- 10 minutes of controlled speed walking
- Do 30 counts of controlled burpees
CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Note: the crab crunch-toe-touch is; crab position on all fours and belly up. Then, alternate toe-touches working for stabilization, all your abdominal muscles, including you total back.

His Grace is Enough! "Happy Monday!"

"If God is for us, who can be against us." (Romans 8:31)

The Lord has called us out of death and into light. When we feel that everything else fails, all is lost, and we are loosing our way; God is our deliver, defender, and redeemer. He will never loose sight of us and he is always willing to carry and/or hold us through the dessert.

Through this season of Lent let us be reminded that, "out of these ashes...beauty will rise."
"I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living."
Call out His name and he will come. We are precious in the eyes of the Lord.

God himself displays the example of transfiguration. Lent is a time to humble ourselves and become vulnerable to Him. To make a sacrifice and trust in God, just as his son Jesus Christ did for our redemption. Within our adversities, tragedies, and pressures of this world we can choose to turn closer to God.

Through our weakness we become strong. His Grace is Enough! Christ offers us purification and a better understanding of just how unfathomable he is. May His grace fall upon us and cleanse us all!
"When we cannot; He can!" ~Amen

"10 minute Workout"

Firm Up & Boost Your Metabolism

(5min + 5 min = 10 minute workout)
Make an effective workout blast by focusing on your intensity, NOT duration. You want to use heavier weights for atleast two sets, and then you can move down to a lighter weight in a slow motion. Make sure you exhale on the resistance phase.
Each day you will do one exercise movement for a 5minute interval then, switch over to the next exercise for the remaining time of 5 minutes. It may sound long or feel too long while in movement. Do not be discouraged. Find the proper weight to persevere, take your time, stop if necessary, & stay hydrated.
